- Paxos Flotilla
The Paxos flotilla visits some of the most picturesque harbours in the Ionian Islands. This flotilla sailing area is largely sheltered by Corfu and Paxos Islands, with regular afternoon breezes. We spend our evenings in wonderfully ethnic Greek village harbours and bays where you can swim and simply relax.
The warm sun and emerald water make Paxos an idyllic place to start sailing or to introduce family and friends to the pastime. The regular afternoon breezes make this an ideal first flotilla for couples, young families or those making the step from dinghies to yachts. We challenge you not to enjoy it!
Gouvia Marina on Corfu Island is your flotilla starting point - with plenty of choices of restaurants, shops and facilities it is a perfect place to begin your holiday! Days are spent sailing from harbour to harbour, stopping for lunch and swims, in stunning bays along the way. Evenings are spent in wonderfully ethnic Greek village harbours and bays where you can kick back and relax. The highlight of the Paxos area flotilla cruise is, of course, the island of Paxos with its four beautiful harbours - Lakka, Longos, Gaios and Mongonisi.
Following a short transfer from Corfu airport you will arrive in Gouvia Marina. Here you will meet your lead crew and home from home for the week (your yacht). After a short boat brief you have a range of restaurants to choose from in the Marina for a bite to eat!
On Monday morning there will be a thorough boat brief and a chat about where you are heading that day. There is a supermarket in the Marina for you to stock up on provisions before you head out for a lazy lunch at anchor...
From Gouvia you will wend your way south to the delightful villages of Lakka, Longos, Gaios and Mongonisi on Paxos Island.
The crystal clear emerald water of Lakka Bay is not to be missed for a lunch stop within a stones throw of Lakka Village - a favourite evening destination. Gaios is a traditional Greek town, with a number of tavernas to explore. Mongonisi is a highlight for many - the only stop on Paxos without a village. Mongonisi's charm lies in the idyllic environment where you can swim of the back of your boat and Greek dance the night away.
A highlight of the trip is a lunchtime stop in Emerald Bay on Anti-Paxos Island for a lazy lunch and swim stop. For the more adventurous sailors among you, a sail down west coast of Paxos, with it's stunning cliffs is a great way to spend a day.
A mainland stop in the Greek Town of Parga should not be missed, with its long sandy beach, buzzing promenade and the unbeatable choice of evening entertainment. Simply moor the boat on stunning Valtos Beach and catch Yiannis ferry boat into town. A walk up to the citadel is also recommended.
The first or penultimate night stop is likely to be Corfu Town where you can moor in the yacht club beneath the citadel and spend an evening wandering the rustic backstreets of the town.
On Saturday you will return to Gouvia where the crew will host a final night meal at one of the tavernas in the Marina. Simply spend your final night relaxing and regaling tales of the weeks events with your fellow sailors over delicious Greek food and wine.

Our Shore to Sail holidays are a combination of a one or two week flotilla sailing holiday with another relaxing week or two ashore.
These holidays will appeal to those who enjoy sailing but have family or friends who are not quite so enthusiastic about sailing - a compromise can now be made!
Most people opt for a week of sailing followed by a week of winding down on shore. However it is entirely up to you to do what you want to do (and when!)
Choose from studios or apartments beside the sea at the Iris Hotel, Stena, near Nidri. Or, really pamper yourself at the Salvator Villas and Spa Hotel in Parga, which also has a selection of two-bedroom villas with private pools.
We also have a brand new, exclusive villa available which is nestled in the olive groves on the hill above Sivota Bay on Lefkas Island.
We have no doubt at all that our flotilla sailing gang will really score a few points with the non sailors of the family by bringing them here! The combination of one of our yachts and a room here is about as good as it gets!
For 20 years, our flotillas have been enjoying the wonderful food from the 'Castello Restaurant' in Parga. Spiros and his six sons have now expanded their programme in Parga with a fabulous boutique complex of rooms, apartments and villas called the Salva…
The Iris Hotel is one of our accommodation options in the South Ionian, ideally suited for a shore based week before or after one of our Lefkas or Ithaka flotillas, or one of our two week flotillas which finishes in the South Ionian.
A 'beside the sea' base for your shore based week on Lefkas …

Fantastic time, had a great lead crew, booked again for next year!

It was a brilliant holiday. We were well looked after by our lead team who were able to answer all our questions as newbies to sailing. By day 4 we were confident sailors and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Wonderful holiday, sailing in a flotilla made it even better. Safe adventure with great views, weather and friends.
The best organised, most welcoming, warmest and least stressful two weeks of the summer... voted 'Best Holiday Ever' by the kids.
We all had the best sailing holiday ever plenty of new experiences & lots of laughs. We made lots of new friends. We went to the most amazing places & ate in great restaurants Thanks to Nimah,Ollie & Jordan fantastic lead crew !! Just one grudge our gas bottle was empty on arrival & empty 2nd water hold empty also foot pump to Dingy tube cone toon didn't fit. I would suggest that a complete cheek of these essentials are thoroughly checked before sailing. But all in all a fab time thank you & hopefully see you all next year. Steve & sue
This was our first sailing holiday, but not our last; we've already booked for 2017! From the start we were impressed with Sailing Holidays. We were "targeted" immediately on entering departures at Gatwick and taken to our check in desk. The pick up and transfer in Greece was flawless. And then there was the lead crew on Kalamas; professional and fun. We both agreed best holiday ever!
Great people who I cannot praise highly enough. Calm, competent, friendly, available yet discreet. Made us feel welcome, and in safe hands. Hamish is one of life's good guys with a cheeky sense of humour whilst having a reassuring manner. Louise is one of life's ray's of sunshine, who is permanently happy and helpful! Tom is everything you expect from a Westcountry boy! Quietly competent and understated. Three gems for sure.
Really enjoyable holiday - I hope to be back soon. Hamish, Louise and Tom were all fantastic and made it an even more special experience. Many thanks. Lisa

Last night on our sailing holiday, every boat had a reward ours was "don't follow Leda" (the name of our boat) only once we over shot our port lol
Dear all, we would like to send our thanks for a fantastic holiday (details above). Our lead crew, Skipper James, Tim and Heather were brilliant, even though we had some awful weather and they didn’t get much sleep, they were an absolute joy to be with. We have never been on a sailing holiday before, but will not hesitate to book with you again. James and the crew went above and beyond as far as we were concerned, checking on our boats throughout the night, making sure we could get ashore and back as we were rafted in a bay, (most of the time he was our “taxi”), keeping us entertained and most of all safe in the awful storms we encountered – we were extremely impressed. Please pass our thanks on to our lead crew and thank you again for a brilliant holiday. Many thanks

This was my 22nd flotilla holiday but the 1st with Sailing Holidays. I will definitely use your company again. The way we were looked after and the condition of the boat was much better than I have experienced elsewhere
We had a great time, had some brilliant sailing, went to some beautiful harbours, met some very friendly local people and made good friends with other like minded families.
We had the most amazing time.
This was our first sailing experience and obviously our first experience with Sailing Holidays. We have both had a fantastic time, led by an excellent crew, and met some lovely people on our flotilla. Not surprisingly, we are already looking at other routes with yourselves, and I'm quite certain that we will be a returning customer.
