Ready to Take the Helm?
If you’re the main “sailor” in your family or friendship group — the one who secretly dreams of casting off without a skipper on board — the Day Skipper course is your next step. You’ll gain the confidence, skills and qualification to take charge, plan passages, and make decisions safely.
And with that comes freedom. You’ll not only build your own confidence but also earn the trust of your crew — which makes every family holiday or friends’ adventure that little bit more relaxed.
With your Day Skipper certificate, you’ll also be eligible for an ICC (International Certificate of Competence) — your golden ticket to hire a bareboat anywhere in the world. Pretty cool, eh?

Not at all. If you’re brand new to sailing, the Competent Crew course is the perfect introduction.

Q: Can I do the course with friends or family?
Absolutely — you can book your own private course boat for up to five people. Learn together, laugh together, and take the pressure off strangers!
