Two Week Sporades Islands Flotilla
The Sporades Islands are located north of Athens in the Aegean Sea. They are well-known for their consistent summer Meltemi winds and as the backdrop for the 2008 film ‘Mamma Mia.’ This region also hosts the National Marine Park of Alonissos and is home to the endangered Mediterranean Monk Seal.
Our Sporades flotilla route starts and finishes in the village of Orei on Evia Island and is an excellent choice for keen sailors. The unbeatable combination of gin-clear water, great wind, and beautiful beaches lures holidaymakers back time and time again.

Sailing conditions
The regular summer Meltemis (Force 4-6) mean that this route is best for keen sailors and for those who have a few flotillas under their belt.
Places to explore
Depending on the wind direction, you may first visit the Gulf of Volos before heading east to the beautiful islands of Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonnisos, Kira Panagia and Peristera. This flotilla route offers the perfect balance between lively, larger villages and peaceful, smaller settlements and bays where you can enjoy a quiet taverna or cooking onboard with friends.
One of the highlights of this journey is the opportunity to spend some nights cooking on board instead of dining on land. These evenings are spent anchored in secluded, uninhabited bays, where you can gaze at the stars above. The only sounds you'll hear are the gentle waves lapping at the shore and the soft chime of bells from wandering goats. This offers a truly satisfying and peaceful experience as you savour the beauty of these remote islands.
