Two Week South Ionian Flotilla
The popular South Ionian area is full of beautiful harbours and bays to anchor for a swim. This is the perfect area for first time flotilla sailors or for more experienced sailors looking to introduce friends and family to their passion. This route will start and finish in Sivota on Lefkas Island. Sail from village to village or island to island, stopping for a lazy lunch and swim in beautiful bays along the way. There’s a selection of traditional tavernas and restaurants on the islands, where you will have plenty of time to explore.

Sailing conditions
The sailing route mostly consists of easy days of around 10-15 miles. The spectacular mountainous landscape provides both shelter and lively katabatic breezes in the afternoons. The South Ionian is the ideal place if you are after a sailing holiday with the emphasis on 'holiday'!
Places to explore
Highlights of this route may include visits to Fiskardo, Sami (famous for ‘Captain Corelli’s Mandolin’), and relaxing in the quaint villages of Kioni and Frikes on Ithaka Island. Enjoy swimming at Pera Pigadi and explore the traditional islands of Kastos and Kalamos. Visit the picturesque Spartachori village on Meganisi Island, the wild pigs of Atoko or one of the many stunning caves the region boasts.
