Every holiday you take makes a difference.
As we sail steadily toward 50 years of flotillas, we’ve had the rare privilege of watching something pretty special happen in the Greek islands.
We’ve seen family-run tavernas grow from one table on the beach to thriving village staples. We’ve seen brothers turn their fishing boats into water taxis. We’ve watched café owners’ children grow up — and then welcome our guests as business owners themselves.
With over 100 boats sailing the Greek islands each summer, we don’t just visit these places — we return, again and again. And with every ouzo, every feta-laden meal, every evening spent on the harbour wall — we’re supporting the real heartbeat of Greece: its local people.

One Cocktail Bar. Three Generations. Countless Memories.
This week’s photo (snapped in Fiskardo - on Kefalonia, in the South Ionian Islands) is one that means a lot to us. It’s me, Heidi, and our grandson Charlie outside Theodora’s Cocktail Bar — alongside Theodora herself, her mother and her daughter. Three generations on both sides. A reminder of how deeply rooted these connections are.
We’re incredibly proud of the relationships we’ve built with local Greek businesses. We wouldn’t change it for the world — and we hope our style of slow, community-connected travel continues for generations to come.
Because while costs are rising everywhere, and life isn’t always simple these days, one thing remains true:
Every sailing holiday you book supports dozens of small, family-run businesses across the Greek islands.
And that support? It really does make a difference.
Thank you for being part of that — for sailing with us, year after year, and helping shape the islands we all love so much.
See you out there, Barrie.
