How Much Does It Cost to Go on a Sailing Holiday in Greece?
Short answer: prices start from £725 per person for a one-week flotilla, including flights and transfers. Costs vary depending on the yacht, the time of year, and how many people you share with.
Here’s a breakdown of what really matters when working out the cost of your holiday.
1. Yacht Size and Sharing
The more people you have on board, the cheaper the price per person.
Smaller groups: a yacht for just 2–4 people will cost more per head.
Bigger crews: fill a 6–8 berth yacht and you’ll spread the cost much further.
It’s also important to balance price with comfort. As well as a maximum number of people, each of our yachts also has a recommended “perfect for” number.
Couples often go for smaller yachts like a Beneteau 323 or 331 — affordable and cosy.
If comfort is a priority over cost, some of our sailors love taking a Beneteau 38 just for two. More space, more luxury, and a little indulgence.
If you're happy to pack out your yacht - it can become more affordble. Example: In May 2026, a two-week flotilla on a Beneteau 361 starts from £815 per person (based on 6 sharing, including flights and transfers).
2. One Week vs Two Weeks
This is a big one.
One week tends to be around 70% of the cost of two weeks. Why? Because flights are included in the price, and they’re the same cost whether you sail for one week or two.
That’s why we often recommend two weeks: you get far more sailing for your money and more time to switch off properly.
👉 Example: A one-week flotilla in June 2026 starts from £725pp, while two weeks in the same month is £1,095pp. That’s nearly double the holiday for only a little more.
3. Flights Are Included
All our flotilla prices include return flights from the UK plus transfers to and from the yacht.
This makes flights one of the biggest cost factors.
If you’re already in Greece or prefer to arrange your own flights, we can help adjust your booking. Although booking the package price tends to be easiest and most affordable.
4. Seasonal Prices
Like most holidays, prices shift with the season:
April–May: best value.
July & August: our busiest months, and we’ve dropped our prices this year to make it more affordable than ever for families to sail in the school summer holidays.
June & September: two of our most popular months for those not tied to school holidays — quieter harbours, settled weather, and great value.
October: late-season sunshine and excellent deals.
5. Discounts and Offers
We do like to reward our regular sailors:
Second holiday discount – sail twice in the same season and get £50 off per person on your second trip.
Children’s discount – kids under 18 get up to £500 off on two-week trips.
6. What’s Included (and What’s Not)
Included in the price:
✔ Flights & transfers
✔ Your yacht (fully equipped)
✔ Services of the lead crew
✔ Bed linen, towels, safety kit, dinghy, charts & guides
Not included:
✘ Food & drink
✘ Personal insurance
✘ A compulsory flotilla charter pack (covers yacht security waiver, fuel, and mooring fees – from £235 to £425 depending on yacht size).
So, How Much Does It Cost?
From £725pp – for one week in early season on a smaller yacht.
Around £1,000–£1,500pp – for two weeks in spring or autumn.
July & August 2026 – now more affordable than ever, with reduced prices for families sailing in the school holidays.
And remember — one week is great if you’re short on time, but two weeks is where the real magic happens (and the better value).
In Summary
A sailing holiday in Greece with Sailing Holidays costs from £725 per person for one week, including flights and transfers. Two weeks is around 30% better value than one week because flights are the same price whether you sail for one or two weeks. Costs vary by yacht size, season, and group size. Each yacht also has a recommended “perfect for” number, so couples might prefer a smaller yacht while others choose a larger boat for extra comfort. Prices for July and August have been dropped this year to make school summer holidays more affordable than ever.
