Beneteau 361

These yachts have proved to be an inspired purchase for us as they remain almost ideal family flotilla cruising yachts.

They have been modified specifically for our requirements with increased ventilation throughout, a larger bed in the forepeak and mainsail furling to name just a few of the 'comfort sailing' additions .

They are 'just right' in terms of space as all of us grow a bit bigger. The swimming platform area is huge and the "walk-through" transom arrangement is brilliant for those lazy lunches at anchor.

One of the best features of the 361 is the large heads compartment designed with a separate curtained off shower area. You will be spoilt by the hot water!

We have also modified the stemhead roller to incorporate a foot-sized step to make climbing aboard - when moored bows-to - a safer and barefoot friendly exercise! The 361's are perfect four to six person flotilla yachts.

These days, 'stern to' mooring seems to be more the norm, but we retain our 'easy drop' anchor buckets on the pushpits to retain the ability to easily anchor in different ways. The bow anchor is of course on an electric anchor windlass.

The 361's, with their enormous forepeak bed and general airiness have proved our most popular yacht over the years, along with their little sisters the 331. You have to book early to secure the date you want!
