Our one-way Whole Ionian route is made possible by using Preveza airport on the Greek mainland which is conveniently located between Plataria in the north and Sivota (Lefkas) in the south. This flotilla cruise begins at the charming village of Plataria on the Greek mainland and wends its way south to the beautiful island of Paxos, then Lefkas and Meganisi. This flotilla will also stop at spectacular Kefalonia and Ithaca before arriving at Sivota on Lefkas Island. The next flotilla starts here and simply does the above route in reverse! This is our only Ionian flotilla cruise which regularly visits Parga, Paxos and Anti-Paxos as well as spending time in the village harbours and bays in the Southern Ionian. Meganisi, Lekfas, Ithaca and Kefalonia are all highlights of the Whole Ionian flotilla route. Keener sailors may also make it over to Kastos and Kalamos. Many of the flotillas have been stopping recently at the windsurfing mecca of Vassiliki. A bay outside the town offers a terrific afternoon breeze for those of you who have been seeking a little extra wind during your fortnight. Most sailing days are only 12-15 miles between stops with one longer day of 35 miles from Parga to Lefkas (or vice versa) for the sailing enthusiasts! We particularly enjoy the Greek atmosphere found in Lefkas town epitomised by Steve and Georgina at the Lighthouse Taverna. Evenings with a cappuccino in the square after dinner are the perfect answer to wind your day down. This flotilla will appeal to those of you who have cruised the north and the south Ionian separately and are keen to try some new places like Ligia and Vonitsa. All the Ionian islands have their own unique colourful character and being able to visit them on some of the best maintained flotilla yachts available is the ultimate Greek Islands sailing experience! This flotilla has become the flagship route of our programme with two separate itineraries. Our normal flotilla route caters for the larger yachts generally and visits almost all the islands between Corfu and Kefalonia. Our "short hops" version of this route is set up especially for the smaller, venerable old favourite yachts like the converted Jaguar 27s, Beneteau 305s and the Feeling 960s. This one seldom has a day more than 12 miles and we even stop in to the Gulf of Amvrakia for a couple of days. Above all, it's a holiday!
