This flotilla starts and finishes in the village of Sivota on Lefkas Island. It is perfect for those having their first go at flotilla sailing in the sun. Our coach transfer from Preveza airport will deliver you directly to the yachts, where our lead crews will introduce you to your yacht and explain basic elements of living aboard. After settling into your yacht we all normally retire to the taverna for a bite to eat and perhaps a drink or two. The following morning you will receive a comprehensive briefing on all other aspects of the yacht and the area you will be sailing through. Your first day journey will be fairly short to give you a chance to become acclimatised to the area and your yacht. It is normally only eight to ten miles, around to a sheltered bay or village harbour on Meganisi Island or perhaps our pontoon in Nidri. There are swim stops en route nearly every day and after three or four days you will feel like you have been there forever. Your lead crew will usually motor sail in order to be at your destination first so that they can assist you in tying up, especially in the first few days. After each day out on the water in the fresh air, evenings are time for a little ‘refreshment and recharging’. Our lead crew will decide your next destination based on which way the wind is blowing and where a suitable harbour might be. There are many possible routes for this flotilla and lots of atmospheric villages and towns to visit. One week will give you a taste of sailing in the Greek Islands and many of you will be back for two weeks next time. During the school holidays these flotillas are pretty much entirely families. The more economical holidays on the 27ft Jaguars attract many couples who wish to sail around the area on a yacht by themselves but, at the same time, with the guidance of the lead crew. We feature an extensive range of yachts in this area. Those who wish to enjoy a little extra space can sail one of our Gib’Sea 302s. If you want a more modern yacht, our 2008 Beneteau 323's have all the bells and whistles. For those who are a group of four to six people, our Beneteau 331s and 361s are ideal with their three cabin layout. The new Beneteau 40 has two heads and will be popular for larger groups and adult aged families. This is an ideal beginners flotilla because it spends the week in the waters of ‘the inland sea’, sheltered by Lefkas Island. However it still provides excellent sailing and is a brilliant introduction to 'easy sail' cruising yachts generally.
