Why not get qualified?

Sailing Holidays is now running RYA certification courses in association with Corfu Sea School. For those of you who wish to gain recognised qualifications, or would like to build your confidence through structured training this may well be a good option for you.

Who is it for?

Are you new to sailing, or are you looking to move from Sailor to Skipper? Whatever your ambitions, we can help you build on your skills and experience. We are here to help you become a better sailor.

What is it?

Sailing Holidays is now running RYA Competent Crew & Day Skipper (non-tidal) training courses in association with Corfu Sea School. Corfu Sea School has been an established and a recognised RYA training centre in Corfu since 2001.

 Each course will take place over five days, although you will enjoy seven days and nights aboard the yacht. You will join the yacht early Sunday afternoon and after a thorough safety briefing we will sail the yacht from our base in Plataria, to Gouvia Marina. The course will begin on Monday morning and finish the following Friday afternoon. This leaves Friday night and the whole of Saturday to relax aboard and perhaps even enjoy a rather more leisurely sail or swim.

Each day will start from around 8:30am and will be packed with activities. There is a lot to cover in each course, and you will be busy until the early evening. We will  make your experience as much fun and as user-friendly as possible.

So, which course is for you...?

Competent Crew

If you have never been on a boat before, or have done a little bit of sailing with friends then this is probably the best course for you. Try to learn a few basic knots before you go. Click here to download more information on the RYA COMPETENT CREW COURSE

Day Skipper (Non Tidal)

If you’ve already done some sailing, or have completed a Competent Crew course then you can go straight on to Day Skipper (Non Tidal). This is the course for those sailors who already know all their knots, know how to put the sails up and down, and generally know their way around a yacht.
