A stunning sheltered bay on the north east of Paxos Island. It is quite hard to spot from the sea as it looks like a continuous cliff but it opens up as you get closer.
Here you can moor stern to the quay or anchor off in the large bay. During most of the year the outer part of the harbour is a classic emerald coloured translucent water which makes for idyllic anchoring. There is no nicer spot for a swim than the little bay just on the right as you enter the harbour.
There are a couple of bakeries, mini markets, and several good tavernas. There is no ATM at time of writing. In general we try not to mention specific tavernas but we have heard that Yiannis at Niovios taverna in the square is excellent, he takes you into the kitchen to show you what’s cooking. There are several very nice restaurants in the village so make the effort to explore. Early evening you can enjoy the sunset in the traditional manner at the ‘Harbour Lights’ Bar on the waterfront.
