Plataria is a small waterfront town situated in a large bay, where the sunsets over Corfu are spectacular. There is a beautiful long pebbly beach that you can swim from, very close to where the yachts are moored - a real treat after getting off the plane!
As soon as you step off the transfer you will be met by your lead crew - Skipper, Engineer & Hostess - and introduced to your yacht!
A range of tavernas and shops, including a bakery, greengrocers, and a mini market, make this a very handy stop. If you want water you need to purchase tokens from the kiosk at the end of the quay. Water and showers are available near the quay.
Plataria retains a wonderful Greek ‘island’ atmosphere, even though it is on the mainland. 'Olga’s' taverna is popular with the flotillas. It is the one furthest to the right as you face the harbour.
Olga’s brother Stephanos catches his own fish and speaks English so the two main ingredients are in place for excellent evenings. Olga (who is the current Mayor of Plataria) will serve your food with a smile! There are also excellent hot showers and toilets behind the taverna.
