Whole experience a revelation. I've been sailing in the Channel for 35 years - 10 years as crew, and the rest as skipper. Your lead crew take on all the planning responsibilities of the skipper, know the waters and harbours, leaving us to sail the yachts to the day's destination, or to divert once we've taken advice.
